About Us

MD's is a restaurant located in the heart of Chester City Centre. It is run by husband & wife team Mito & Debbie Fernandez, who have worked in catering & hospitality for many years and have combined their experience to attempt to provide a restaurant that can offer something for everyone.

MD's has been running for over 8 years and trades in the evenings only, Wednesday - Saturday 5pm - 9.30pm as it runs during the day as its alter ego Katies Tea Rooms.

MD's operates within a C14th, Grade II listed building. It's original use was as a Merchants house, hence the surroundings are very atmospheric. The seating area is set within original sandstone walls and oak beams. Throughout the building many other original features remain such as exposed Wattle & Daub and original wide oak studded doors. All this combines to offer the ideal setting whether it be a romantic meal for two or a large gathering of friends

Most of our dishes are freshly prepared to order on the premises by our team of qualified chefs therefore if you have any dietary requirements or personal tastes items may be omitted from sauces or dishes as required. At MD's we strive to run a family style business with all our staff aiming to provide an efficient & attentive service at all times.

Party Bookings

We have the facilities to cater for large parties of up to 80 people if pre-booked, and can liase with individuals to design specific menus whether it be for an exclusive 7 course meal, a wedding breakfast or simply a group re-union.

NOTE: We are a "child friendly" restaurant offering a childrens menu for the youngters. Due to the historic nature of the building & its Grade II status unfortunately we are not able to offer disabled facilities, and there are various flights of stairs throughout the building.

2 Eat 4 The Price of 1. Wednesday evening only. Selections off the A La Carte Menu. For every 2 Starters & Main Courses ordered the cheaper of each is free.... view the menu (a minimum of 2 Main Courses must be ordered, not available on Chester Race Days)

All evening we operate a Table D'hote Menu which is priced at £12.50 for 2 courses or £15.95 for 3 courses, and a Full A La Carte menu plus Specials board.... view the menu
